Franz Schubert's Major Accomplishments

Franz Peter Schubert was born around January 31, 1797, in Himmelpfortgrund what was near Vienna. He was an Austrian composer and also wrote something has much as six or seven hundred romantic songs. His works included operas, symphonies, sonatas and many other works through his life time. As a young boy he was mainly focused training his voice and becoming a vocalist but he was skilled in many other things as well. he rarely played his music in the public eyes. His father probably had the most effect on him. Is father name was Franz Theodor Schubert and he was born in July 11, 1763. “Schubert’s father, Franz Theodor Schubert, was a schoolmaster; his mother, Elizabeth, whose maiden name was Vietz, was in domestic service at the time of her marriage.” Franz was their fourth surviving son. His elder brothers were Ignaz, Karl, and Ferdinand, and there was a younger sister, Maria Theresa. The family was musical and cultivated string quartet playing in the home, most of the men in the family playing the viola but were also trained in many other instruments. Just like most of his family he started at a young age, father enrolled at the Stadtkonvikt which was like a school that young boy as vocalists. The main goal Franz had as a young boy was to become part of court's chapel choir. His hard work payed off in 1808, when he was offered a scholarship that guaranteed he a spot on the chorist.
