Franklin D. Roosevelt was one of most popular Presidents. He was our longest serving President. FDR served four terms in office. He was able to help many Americans in our country that were suffering from the Depression. He came up the two New Deals. The first New Deal was to help get America turned around after the Depression. It came up with the TVA, which helped control water, so damns were built. It also came up with hydroelectric energy to help provide people with power. When the depression hit, the agricultural prices dropped so low that it hurt the farmers. So a bill was passed so farmers would be able to make a living off their farms.
