In the play, The Tragedy of Julius Caesar there are many different characters all having different parts. Each of the four main character has their own big part in the story, and each have different sides to them. Each character has a different part, either killing Caesar of giving pay back to the killers. The four main characters in the play are Julius Caesar, Marc Antony, Marcus Brutus, and Mr. Cassius. It could be said that each of the characters in the play could be change the name of the play because of their different parts and what they did. Who should the play be named after? Who deserves to be in the title of the play? Who has the most important parts in the play? At this time Julius Caesar’s name is in the title of the play. The play consists of 2,459 total lines. Caesar is only in about one third of the play, and he has 135 lines. This play is centered around this man and what happens to him. Cassius was a true instigator of Rome. Mr. Cassius is a man of many questions, you may say he is very annoying at times. Mr. Cassius has 525 lines in this story. He was a big part in making the story. Cassius comments on so many words being said, Cassius says, “who’s there.” Casca says, “A Roman.” Casca, “Your ear is good. Cassius, what night is this.” Cassius says, “A very pleasing night to honest men.” Casca says, “Who ever knew the heavens menace so?” Page 908 lines 41-44. Then Cassius gabs on and on. Cassius truly knows about the murder and the happenings because of all of his annoying questions. Mr. Cassius does not have a huge main part in the play as a few as the other characters. Mr. Cassius needs to have a bigger impact on the play, to have him get more attention and impact on the out turn of the final ending.
