I viewed the Netflix Documentary Forks over Knives Tuesday after noon from 11:55-12;10 ate lunch which consisted of meat and then resumed playing at 12:53-2:30. The Forks over Knives documentary heavily tries to per sway viewers to change their diets from an animal protein based diet to an all plant product diet. I heavily disagree with this idea and feel that meats in moderation or regulated amounts can be healthy. If you choose to have the meats grilled and not fried that would be a healthier way to eat the meat and to not add gravy or fried foods on the sides. They correctly backed up all their statements with experiments on lab rats and studies of changing human diets but they never did any studies on people who ate a balanced diet of …show more content…
Just like sugars and sweats are acceptable in moderation why can’t meats be treated the same. I agree that the fast food industries are leading to the great increase in heart disease, high cholesterol and obesity because of the high amounts of fats and naturally dense foods. I agree very much that plants increase your energy level. I start every morning of with a spinach shake to give me a boost of energy, and exercise will also help with the decrease in heart disease but I don’t necessarily believe that cancer can be cured be eliminating meats. History of cancer in the family is very prone to the appearance of cancer in later generations of the family. I believe that cancer starts with genes (genes you are born with or genes altered by chemicals) these cells grow more rapidly with an animal foods based diet. So if you know ahead of time that you have caner genes in the family it would be wise to be checked for cancerous cells and then lead more to a plant based diet.
