For example, a student who has a fifth year has more time in high school and it allows the student to learn to balance school, extra circulars and outside work due to more time to develop the skill. Therefore, fifth year students understand how important it is to balance out time in life, when the students learn it and experience it more. In fact, a fifth year is needed to help students manage time in order to obtain a good lifestyle inside and outside of school. Moreover, students will gain maturity through more time. For instance, as a student increases in grade the student naturally enters a stage in life were the child part of the student kind of fades and a more mature self takes sprout. Fifth year students are more mature more than fourth year student. Postsecondary and other programs need students who are mature and ready for a bigger workload.
