2. Please do not pre-pour water for medications until the resident present for their medications
3. Please do not give out coffee to residents on 2nd or 3rd shift. Coffee is ONLY given to resident during breakfast.
4. Medications can be given out an hour before and an hour after the specific time. Medications should not be denied to resident who come an hour before or an hour after.
5. Please remember to clock out for lunch. If I review your time and you haven’t clocked out, I will put in a lunch for you.
6. If a resident is refusing medication, please inform the provider of the refusal of medications.
7. Remember residents must sign a refusal form if they refused medications, labs to be drawn, x-rays, ultrasound, dental exam, eye exam, and etc.

If a resident refused a psychotic medication, please call Dr. Wadman and notify her. Please document the refusal and the call in ERMA.
9. Dayshift nurses will be responsible for sick calls, midday medication pass, medication ordering, and doing inventory for the supplies.
10.Evening shift nurses are responsible for the 6pm and 9pm medications pass.
11.Night shift nurses are responsible for the 6 am medication pass and drawing of the labs.
12.We are a team, if night shift nurses are unable to draw the labs that morning day shift nurses should make sure the labs are drawn. NO exception.
13.Narcotics, sharps, refrigerator, and sick call logs MUST be filled out every shift. This is not an option, this is MANDATORY.
