And in that database I could look for research articles with studies done by other experts. There are a lot of experts doing research on women’s pay in the work. Some experts that I found are Heidi Hartmann, Ariane Hegewisch, and Jeffrey Hayes. They all are educated individuals with their Ph.D.’s so I trust that their research is thorough, good quality research. Some major news networks talk about the gender gap and there are some magazines that have articles about the gender gap between men and women, Such as New York magazine. One reference I could use for my topic could be a website called Institute for Women’s Policy Research. Another resource would be aauw.org the website was created by Kevin Miller. I really like Kevin’s website because he has reports you can download and his research reports that he has done have a variety of different variables. I would distribute the surveys through the mail to different regions of the country. I would use a suburban area, urban city and country town from the one state of the different regions of the U.S. On my survey sheet I would have three questions the first one being “Do you agree or disagree that women would work harder if they made the same amount of money as men. The second question would be “Would you okay with making the same amount of money as the opposite sex?” and the last question would be “Should the government have equal pay for men and women?” There would be a yes or no check boxes and lines by the check boxes to explain why or why not.
