An example of this is when four young pigs attempt to protest but are quickly brought to a halt by the dogs intimidating growls, “ ...all four of them sprang to their feet and began speaking at once. But suddenly the dogs sitting round Napoleon let out deep menacing growls” (69). The dogs intimidating and threatening growls prevents them from continuing their protest against Napoleon’s decision to no longer have meetings. Although many of the other animals couldn’t organize their thoughts to also object or at least challenge Napoleon’s decision, the four young pigs could have helped the others come up with an argument had they not been silenced by the dogs of which were under Napoleon’s command. Suggesting there are people who take advantage of others by using similar or the same tactics as the pigs used such as using fear and others lack of intelligence against them. Currently in today’s modern world an example of this is how politicians want to have full control and edit or completely rewrite the second amendment which is the right to bear arms, an amendment that had proved itself necessary when early colonists were subjected to tyranny similar to those that the common animals face in Animal Farm. The second amendment could again prove useful in a distant future where tyranny might be present. Politicians take advantage of the fear instilled in people from past tragedies involving guns to give them one sided statistics which most believe to be completely true due to both the fear instilled in them and a lack of knowledge and or intelligence. Animal Farm did its job in my mind because now it’s almost second nature for most people to not only question authority but also think for
