Did you know that society can change people’s thinking? Fahrenheit 451 was written by Ray Bradbury in 1950’s. Montag is revealed as the protagonist and dynamic character. Firemen burn books to make people think and confused. Throughout the novel we follow Montag's Journey in ways he changes from non-thinking to a thinking character. He starts out as a person of ignorance, but concluded the story as a man of intelligence. Montag embarks on his journey as a “fireman”. Unlike the firefighters in our world, these firemen lived to burn and destroy books.

Montag analyzes his life and where he is. He wants to know what's out there and being oblivious to the world is not satisfying. However he begins to look at things a little differently.
Montag crosses the river instead of staying in the city. “Now there was only the cold river and Montag floating in sudden peacefulness, award from the city and the lights and the chase, away from everything.” (Bradbury, 140) Montag meets the hobos who memorize books and burn them so they will not get caught. They memorize it so they can teach other people and get the world to become thinking again. If Montag would have not crossed the river he would have gotten caught by the mechanical hound and would have been killed. The city would start to think. They noticed that they were not happy. The goal is to have the people believe they are happy. The people of the society thought they are happy but in reality they are not.
Montag faced changes in his life. We saw how he was a dynamic character
