Granger has a broken leg and cannot stand up. Montag is about to leave the building to find first aid supplies when, all of a sudden, he hears a familiar voice. He looks to where the sound came from, and it turns out to be Professor Faber. They go to get medical supplies for Granger and talk. Faber says that he assumed Montag was in the city when it was bombed. He escaped from the government and went into the city. He found other survivors and was leading them. Montag and Faber finally found medical supplies in a hospital that had toppled to the ground. They began to head back to help Granger. Montag asked Faber how long it had been since the bombing and Faber said it had been a week. "A week!" exclaimed Montag. By this time, the survivors figured out what happened and were angry at the government and would do anything to get them back. Faber leaves to go to the other survivors, leaving Montag alone with Granger and the other ex-professors. …show more content…

Meanwhile, other rebels were breaking into people’s houses and destroying their televisions. When the people returned home, they were upset but soon realized that their television “families” were a small price to pay for their freedom and the ability to read books once
