Explain Why Some Societal Pressures Are Greater Now Than They Were In The Past

Societal pressures are greater now than they were in the past for students. In many ways societal pressures are greater on students now than they were in past generations. In the past and present generation students may get pressured to do drugs and alcohol and now technology comes into play in this topic. Also more parents want their children going to college and in addition to that students are exposed to trending social media ideas now more then ever. Students may get influenced due to peer pressure which affect the way students may dress and what type of music teens listen to. For many students boy and girls get peer pressured everyday to do things that their friends tell them to do. Kids will dare their friends to do idiotic thing like smoke, drink alcohol or do drugs. Also peer pressure could happen by two ways through text or though face-to-face talking. The generation technology made many people more secretive of what they do, Technology allows people to quicker communicate among peers. Peer pressure is increased, more now than in past times because of the new type of technology. Instead of maybe asking for illegal substances they can text instead of talking on the phone or sending an email out to their friends. In the past generation, many jobs required just a high school diploma. Now many jobs say high school diploma’s are not enough. Instead jobs will require a bachelors degree or even a masters degree, which can range from 4-6 years of school after high school.
