One reason that many people would agree with this is because everyone at one point in their life was nice, and kind hearted and filled with love but the people around them may crushed their spirits.

In George Orwell’s book, 1984, the world was completely controlled by The Party, who shut out any type of good. When love is completely removed from a person’s life, they basically become empty and void of any good emotions. If a society in the real world was based on hate, it is highly unlikely that it would last. Hate leads to violence, and violence leads to death.…

People are not born evil. It is my opinion that as a child, we are always molded and influenced by the important people that touch our lives daily. Basically it begins with our caregiver’s weather it is our parents, grandparents, family members or babysitter. The mother and father plays a major role on their child’s personality. Therefore if somebody experience any type of abuse during their childhood whether it is physical or mental, most times they are awkward socially and they view society differently.…

Are we inherently good or evil? CNN contributor Will Cain postulates that the majority of use are ethical human beings. He then argues that if we were all evil, we would have wiped each other off this earth. Though I agree with his thesis, I find his arguments vague and unconvincing. First, I would argue that we have certain innate moral intuitions about what is good and what is evil.…

John Locke's view on people and their good will is similar to my viewpoint of people being naturally good. The ideas of humans being reasonable beings, born free and equal and having the natural rights of life, liberty, and property, and the Tabula Rasa are reasonable and agreeable that Locke believed in. However, Thomas Hobbes idea of all humans are naturally wicked and selfish shouldn't be fully discriminated and ignored. I believe that all humans are naturally good because of personal experiences of seeing people helping others out of their own will, reporting and sharing news and important information, and putting things into action that will overall have a good impact on anybody. Everywhere around the world, there are people who volunteeringely…

For some time, ethics have always been a concern in the world. The notions of right and wrong, good and evil, have always been contemplated; with every person individually devising their own unique idea of what they believe is moral. Morality in the world generally gravitates towards virtue, while hatred and evil are looked down upon. However, there are those that believe that goodness is not simply acts of kindness, nor is it innately there in humans to begin with. Eighteenth century German philosopher Immanuel Kant solidified his thoughts on morality, and created a step-by-step, systematic plan for the human being to follow in order to achieve goodness.…
