Explain Why I Agree With The Choice Of All Combat Roles Being Open To Women

I agree with the choice of all combat roles being open to women. All women and men should have equal opportunity when it comes to jobs. A woman should have a choice if she wants to be a participant in combat. In the past women in the military were treated very different from men. Woman were kept out of battle and considered to takes roles such as nursing. Females were considered weak, fragile and too delicate to fight. Women were told that they are distractions and would destroy military units’ camaraderie. They predicted that if woman and men served in battle together they would be too busy flirting, or feuding.
