Depending on where you are in the world and the climate you have, affects the crops you are able to grow and how helpful it is, therefore affecting how fast you’re civilization can develope. The spanish having been exposed to some diseases that their enemies did not yet have immunity to, helped weaken their enemies and let the spanish easily expand and grow their civilization. The spanish had the proper climate to have domesticable animals that would be very useful in developing their civilization. Not only did they benefit from having these helpful animals they also benefited from having lived in close proximity to these animals. Unknowingly while they were sleeping next to these animals, eating their meat, and drinking their milk they were also slowly being exposed to there diseases making them eventually immuned. The incas on the other hand did not have the proper climate to benefit from these animals, they did however have lamas though they did not live in close proximity, eat their meat, or drink their milk so the same benefits were not applied. The fact that the spanish had this weapon that they themselves didn't quite understand made them superior and let them easily conquer and expand there civilization more efficiently that anyone else. Seeing as at the time the spanish were the only ones immune to these diseases they had a huge head start that made them able to conquer and grow there civilization faster and more efficiently than anyone else this head start would take years to catch up
