Use the following steps when you review your literature critique. Examine your own work to evaluate its strength.
1. Review your original study question. Do the premises built in Argument 1 provide a satisfactory answer to the research question? If not, what work do you need to do next? If the answer is satisfactory, then the premises lead directly to declaring the thesis.
My original study question was does study was to see if aggression increased in steroid users. After completing a literature review of several different articles it was found that there were several inquiries into this questions. In the literature search there was several different subjects that were tested such as rates, weightlifters, teens and non-steroid users. The premise in argument 1 provides a satisfactory answer to the research question. I am choosing to start with describing the science of aggression within a person, followed by the science of steroid meaning what there made up of and what they can do to the human body. Its crucial for the reader to have at least a basic understanding of what steroids in and how they affect the body to so that the will be able to comprehend the reading better. Next I will discuss the how aggression and steroids together can persuade a person actions as well as if aggression increases within a steroid user. At this point I will have created a bias of why this topic needs more awareness and research. Understanding and insight are the aspects that are discussed along with past research and laws in places to maintain the issues within the United States. The main support for my question will come from Dunn, M. (2015) and Kaufman, M., Janes, A., Hudson, J., Brennan, B., Kanayama, G., Kerrigan, A., Pope, H. (2015). Both articles explain the science of steroids n the effects on the user. As stated before research has also been conducted on animals to see how the popular drug known as steroids affect them. CHAPTER FIVE EXERCISES I do not need to find other article for the research because the five that I already have provides enough information for me to my paper. At this moment I don’t have any concerns because I addressed them last week. At first my topic was to broad, but I adjusted that by changing my topic. With the information that I have I am confident that I will be able to give my readers a full understanding of my topic. I do not think that I need to ad more aspects because I want my paper to be thorough. 2.Examine the nature of the evidence presented to support the premises in answering the study questions. See pg. 128 for further information My argument is that complex, in fact I feel as though its quite simple. Since I have prior knowledge about the topic I can easily understand the articles, therefore I have to be mindful that when writing the paper I don’t make it to complex for readers who have …show more content…
Aggression and steroids are both well document and there are several sources that I can refer to if I need additional help. As of right now I believe that the five articles that I selected previously will be enough information for me to complete my paper. Depending on the part of the world the user lives in there is no specific treatment for steroid users and aggression combines. However there are several treatment options for people who have intense aggression such as classes, medication techniques and much more. When writing this paper I have to make it clear to people that steroids are illegal in the United Sates for recreational use which is one of the main contributing factors to the abuse of steroids. If I don’t properly explain this readers could be confused and it could detract them from my paper. Next, aggression can be experience by a user as well as many other side effects. I need to make it clear that steroids is a very serious drug and express that there needs to be even more awareness about this subject. Athletes risk their lives to play in the professional realm of sports, many of them utilize steroid to assist their performance without knowing the true deadly side effects of steroids in their
