Resources such as library, books, computer, and electricity. We also did not have enough teachers in school that could teach us so we could gain knowledge. It was hard to learn. Due to that, I had to force myself to learn because I had just my mom to support me and my mom didn’t even know how to write. There was only one school in my town. The name of the school was Great Emmanuel international school. This school was about 4(four) miles away from my house. We didn’t have a bus or a car so I had to wake up very early in the morning like 4 o’clock to go to school. I had to do that every day so I could get education and be literate. I was trying to fit in to the environment. I could not speak English in school as I could today because I was not fluent. Every time I spoke, it was a little hard for people to understand. Some people were even laughing at my English. I started school here(America) as a 9th grader. I did not go to middle school because of my age. My mom and sister couldn’t understand or speak English either so I had to work really hard and help them while learning it. My freshman year was not going the way I wanted it to go. I was getting C’s, D’s and F’s on my quizzes and test. Going through all these struggles was not easy for me but I still had confidence in myself that I could do it. All these confident came from Parents because they encouraged me. My mom always used to tell me that, “I need to give my all because there are people struggling so bad and doesn’t even have this kind of opportunity that I
