Knowing or knowledge is known to be a vital element for a person to succeed in life. However, that is not the case. Knowing how to connect and relate what you know is the actual key to success. Being able to relate completely different concepts or tying concepts to your daily life, is what will truly bring you success. This can extend to things as general as writing. As any other student, I’ve written many essays all through school and I’m continuing to do so know in my time at the University of Washington. English being my second language, I thought that my writing would be mediocre and I won’t be able to produce quality papers. When writing, this have helped me see things in a new matter and created a chance for me to write about certain topics in a unique matter. In addition to that, I learned that you truly learn about something when you start questioning it. When you question people’s actions or behavior you then understand everything about it. This helped me develop a skill to be able to explain things in a better way because I have a better understanding of it. Not only did that help me improve my writing in some ways, but it also helped me gain perspective on a myriad of things in my daily life. It helped me understand why people make certain decisions, why I should make certain decisions, or why people think the way they do. By gaining those techniques and learning those lessons, I can integrate that into my writing. Rich details are the fruits of excellent papers. In an academic essay details are vital to explain an academic topic. In descriptive essays, details are truly what brings the object being described into light to the reader. Gaining different perspectives would result in a great persuasive essay because you’d be able to persuade the reader by showing many different perspectives towards the subject and that’ll also aid the writer’s attempt to persuade the
