Greaser; a group of poor but caring people that everyone thinks differently about.
Despite the stereotypes surrounding him, Sodapop is caring towards everyone, mostly his closest friends and family. Sodapop is one of the characters in The Outsiders, a book about a group of teenagers who are greasers. The greasers steal, get into fights, and deal with weapons and other dangerous things that could get them in trouble with the cops,but this is not all true, this is only what almost every Soc thinks. The book talks about the events of this group’s life which is told by the youngest of the group Ponyboy. In the book there is many different signs were Soda shows signs of carness, some of them are when he comforts Johnny after Johnny was badly beat up, when he writes a letter to Ponyboy about how he cares and misses him, and lastly he shows his carness with just showing how much he wants his brothers to get along.
I think that Soda is caring, because when Johnny was found badly beat up by the Socs, Soda was there to comfort Johnny. He said, “Don’t talk you’re gonna be okay...Soda just held him and pushed Johnny’s hair back out of his …show more content…
It stated, “...Darry and me nearly went nuts when you ran out like that. Darry is awfully sorry he hit you. You know he didn’t mean it... Darry hasn’t got the slightest notion where you’re at and it is nearly killing him. I wish you’d come back and turn yourselves in but I guess you can’t since Johnny might get hurt.” This letter means that Soda cares a lot about Pony because he mentions how he misses him, and how he went nuts when he ran away, he also writes how he just wishes he came back. He also shows a little how he cares about Darry because he technically writes this letter for him, Soda knows that Darry is truly sorry but he doesn't have the guts to say
