Social stratification allows for the ranking of people within social groups, thus allowing for major differences between the classes. Due to the oppressive historical periods of America, which provided long-running implications of the ethnic group, social stratification is heavily linked to minority groups populating the lower spectrum of the social rank. Aside from the unexplored environmental damages the creation of the DAPL will bring about, deeper examination of the pipeline proves this is another example of injustice. In the early stages of the DAPL initial schematics did not originally run through the Lake Oahe.
