If I were practicing in a community clinic, and medication error transpired, my first honest feeling would be fear. How do I communicate the incident to the patient and what will be the result of my error. As mention in the scenario above, one day during medication administration my patient received Lopressor instead of Atenolol. In the process of taking out medication on two different patients, the mishap ensued. The doctor notified of the medication error.
