During this interview, be prepared to be asked in detail about all your heirs as well as all of your financial assets, property and investments. This is just the first step in planning your estate, so don't worry if you don't have documentation for everything; that will come in the next step. This interview is all about getting a feel for all the assets that your attorney's paralegal is going to need to collect information about.
Assemble All Your Financial Assets
After your informational interview, your attorney's paralegal will then get to work assembling all the paperwork necessary to document all your assets.
During this phase, you will be hearing from the paralegal that you are working with a lot. They will need you to send in various documents to fully establish the breath of your assets. The paralegal you are working with may also need to get in contact with anyone who manages your wealth and assets, and can provide them with the information they need.
