In the year 1692, 20 people were killed, about 200 were accused all because people were great actors. The ways they were killed were gruesome some were burned, some were stoned, some skinned, some were hanged others were pressed to death. What caused The Salem Witch Trial Hysteria of 1692? The accuser, the defender, and the accused witch were the people involved, 20 people were accused of being witches therefore they were killed. This happened in the year 1692 it happened in Salem Massachusetts. At the end of the month they killed the people who were accused. The Salem Witch Trial Hysteria of 1692 happened for three main reasons: Childish Mischief, Pressure, but mainly for For Power. The Salem Witch Trial Hysteria of 1692 happened because of Childish Mischief. According to Document D written by Charles W. Upham it states “the afflicted children and their associates? They soon became intoxicated by the terrible success of their imposture.” This evidence indicates that girls became so good at acting they didn't stop. Girls could have said anything and the people would believe them because they were paranoid and scared. In Document B the chart proves that one of the reasons were childish mischief since in the accusers chart, the girls in the age 16-20 were the ones who accused the most.

Some other possible reasons this happened was because of Vengeance or Religion. This is still very shocking even today because 20 people died and we will never know how many innocent lives were lost because of the lies and accusations people made. It matters because we need to learn that something’s we say can destroy or end someone’s life. We should carefully investigate our claims because we can’t just go through a village and say someone is a witch just because, we need to have proof before we do something that could end someone’s
