Everyone knows race is a biological category, but socially everyone seems to put themselves in their own category. Many different things are said about African Americans such as, black kids from K-12 are far more likely to be suspended than white children. Black students make up almost 40% of all school expulsions and more than two thirds of students referred to police from schools are mostly black. According to the U.S News on racism, African American children are 18 times sentenced than white children. These kind of things said, show that many assumptions are made about Blacks. The second race we are focusing on is whites. Many racial stereotypes come with being white and from researching we found many racist comments. Over the years, many students and doctors tried to survey how much racism truly goes on and how many people admit to racism, the results shown that around two-seventh of the population admits to racism and the others didn’t admit to anything. Most people know that Mexicans like beans and rice and they are dumb. A research study shows that 87.3 percent of people from Burton Middle heard about Mexican stereotypes and don’t do anything about it.
