2 Repealing the Job-Killing Health Care Law Act, United States Representative Marcia L. Fudge, did vote to not repeal Obamacare. I am in agreement with my United States Representative to keep the Affordable Care Act with my basic knowledge of the Affordable Care Act, I think that it is important to try to keep Americans as healthy as possible. If all Americans have health care coverage, then all Americans will have a chance to receive treatments their ailments, prevent themselves from getting sick and when they are sick, to become well again. Not only would Americans benefit, but the economy would benefit as well, because the more people that are paying for health insurance, the more money the government will make. In addition, I agree with the decision of our government leaders to repeal the Bush-era tax cuts. Since the original Bush tax cuts had an expiration, Congress and President Obama had no choice but to create the American Taxpayer Relief Bill; otherwise it would lead the country into a fiscal cliff. A fiscal cliff would increase taxes for all and decrease the amount of money the government can spend. It would deplete government-funded programs not only with the smaller budget, but less of government programs available to citizens. Once the government made the American Taxpayer Relief Bill, a law it was a relief for not just the middle class Americans, but all Americans. With the repeal of the Bush-era tax cuts American citizens no longer had to worry about fiscal cliff crisis. This law extended the tax cuts, and raised marginal income taxes for the wealthiest Americans. In my opinion
