My classroom will be a traditional classroom. According to Montessori, children should be able to perform tasks based on independence, never should I help a child that feel as if he/she can succeed a task on his/her own. I will provide a safe, nurturing, and prepared environment. Montessori considered the “prepared environment” as one of the most important factors in an early childhood education. Paying different games, solving puzzles, and creating art is an effective method of play and interaction amongst students in the classroom and it also demonstrate cognitive leaning where each child connect and takes play to another level with being social. Physical skills and games such as kickball, running, and skipping allow children to maintain balance and strengthen their motor skills. I will be sure to provide my students with access to recess on the playground one hour every day. During play, children will learn to control their feelings, how to follow expectations, learn how to socialize, and develop friendship by sharing.
