The Impact of People’s activities on the Environment
Every day, the environment continues to degrade due to man’s activities. Sustainability of the environment has become a long gone story. The environment is no longer as productive as it was initially. The activities of man have resulted to the condition we are in now. The population on Earth, both for man and animals, has increased. Land and other resources continually decline; in productivity and quality. The sustainability of the current and the future generations is largely compromised. Actually, if the trend as far as the environment, population and productivity are concerned continues, survival on earth will continually be shortened. This work will analyze the environmental issue.

If the trend persists, the earth will be the gravest place to be and man will not be able to survive. Global warming is among the major effects of environmental degradation (Corbey 2013). Due to the innovations made by the current generation, the emissions of harmful gases to the environment have continued to increase. As a result, the ozone layer that protects the surface of the Earth from direct radiations from the sun is almost depleted. It has led to increasing the temperatures experienced at the surface of the earth, which, in return, has affected agricultural and human sustainability.
The condition will worsen if the trend continues, due to high temperatures; the sea level will rise, encroaching to land occupied by man. The high temperatures will increase the rate of vaporization from water bodies and in turn increase rainfall. The rainfall is likely to cause flooding on land will be a global disaster. With the new climate conditions brought about by environmental degradation, some plan and animal species will no longer be able to survive but will become extinct. These are just but a few

However, that does not imply that there is nothing that can be done. To overcome environmental degradation, we need to work together. The input of every person is crucial. Research has it right than man has progressively made innovations, but he has failed to acknowledge the impact thy have on the environment. Therefore, all innovations should be environment considerate. People should thus be made aware of the dangers likely to form their innovations. This will go a long way in ensuring that we do not cause more harm than good.
Secondly, we should adopt a recycling culture. Recycling went a long way in ensuring that we optimize the scarce resources that are available for use. In turn, it will reduce such things as the encroachment to animal habitat as well as reducing the productive activities, which require more raw materials as well as release additional wastes to the environment (Bekoff 145). A man should as well consider alternative energy sources such as the wind to replace the use of petroleum products, which lead to the emission of harmful gases to the

The human-caused factors substantially outweigh the natural occurrences in the environment. These factors are defined by the human population, social wants and needs, and the energy used (Tait, Hanna). The innovative technologies used today are greatly depended on because they are what keeps the developing society and economy functioning. It is inevitable that the finite resources and short-term demands of the human population will overwhelm the planet to replenish and provide in order to satisfy the population. As Paul Gilding, a writer, activist, and adviser on sustainability states, “we 've created a little too much stuff -- so much that our economy is now bigger than its host, our planet”.…
