Ethical Dilemma and Patient Advocacy
Ethical dilemma is a problem that arises from being ethical (Taylor, 2011). Advocacy is the act of supporting or protecting an individual right (Taylor, 2011). Nurses play an important role in the healthcare setting which is to maintain the nursing code of ethics, along with being an advocate for their patients and resolving ethical dilemmas. Also, in order to promote great patient care, nurses have to be an advocate for their patients especially the patients that are not able to speak or see.
