If you think about it, no matter where, whether drugs are legal or not, people will still use and abuse. In order to gain control and minimize criminal activity with drugs, something needed to be done. The Netherlands government legalized the use of soft drugs which helped to regulate drug use overall and decrease drug related criminal activity. The United States can look at this and consider change within their laws towards drug use.
