Paul was an Anatolian rabbinical scholar from Tarsus. He was one of the Jewish elites from eastern Mediterranean, and a Roman citizen (Andrea 200). On the trip to Damascus in Syria, Paul ceased following the Jewish-Christian which believed that Christianity should stay in the category of Judaism. Paul not only specifically taught Christians how to be a eligible follower of Christ but also to inform them of his plans (Andrea 201). His epistles helped Christians strengthen their faith on Jesus, also established a solid foundation of Christianity in Rome. Later on, he helped the spread of Christianity “Paul was an indefatigable missionary, converting gentiles and Jews alike in many of the major cities of the eastern Mediterranean” (Andrea 201). Nevertheless, this epistles were only written for people who are Christians or someone who intended to be a Christian during that time. A more specific study about Rome should not only include the voice of Christians but also other people’s beliefs, such as the high gods, like sky god Jupiter (Brittanica).
