The University Maryland University College has help me to achieve my goals of furthering my public health education through specialize coursework in its health administration program. This program has helped me to develop managerial skills to become an adaptive leader. The studies here at the University Maryland University College have taught me strong financial management skills. I am now able to use statistical tools to analyze health data for future business decisions. This program has taught me problem solving skills to be able to strategically plan, implement and evaluate information systems. This handbook also stated the Epidemiologist job outlook is projected to grow 6 percent between 2014 and 2024. The work environment various and can be a hospital, long term facility, or group medical practice. Having a Master’s degree will help me to get to an executive position. I must work my way up the corporate health ladder. My environment will be impacted by my leadership qualities, effective, communication, and analytical skills. By specializing in the career of epidemiology I expand the possibility of easy placement in the field. There are many places of equal opportunity employment in the private and public sector. I would like to focus on the minorities and children health issues. This type of management runs analyses and identities factors that impact the health outcome in populations. By gaining an epidemiology degree I will have the proper foundation to ensure quality at all levels of management. Depending on the healthcare organization it will determine what tools I will have access to. The advancement in the field will be impacted by how I prepare myself for the future. Within five years I will be promotable to an executive position. Throughout this time, I will have learned the ins and outs and completed various refresher courses for different licenses and certificates. During this time, I will evaluate my career choice, progress and advancement potential and other employment options. Within these five years I will return to school to obtain a Ph.D. This will bring me to the next 5 years of which I should be copiously emerged in the executive cabinet of a healthcare organization. I will be working, raising a family, and going to school. Upon the completion of my Ph.D. program I will be qualified to run a healthcare organization and teach at a local top rated
