Through my position as Freelance Environment Education Session Worker within ecoACTIVE, I gained significant experience in organizing and delivering environmental education sessions and workshops with children. I have supported them in developing a major awareness around sustainability and further matters concerning the environment. Furthermore, in terms of my working experience, I have appreciated the importance of understanding children’s individual learning styles, in order to adapt my own session delivery approach to them and therefore increase their motivation and learning progress. I value the importance of praising their efforts and encouraging their learning development, as a mean to create a healthy and happy learning environment and avoid children’s demotivation. Furthermore, as part of my induction I have been introduced to safeguarding regulation and how to report and recognise signs of abuse.
While working for the TCV I have been responsible for the use of different hazardous tools and it was my responsibility to ensure that those tools were used safely, proceeding to risk assessment and health and safety evaluation.
