Is there any chance global warming, dramatic effects are changing the earth’s atmosphere slowly or rapidly? The industrial revolution begun in the mid- 17th century, it was a transition from agriculture era to manufacturing production era. This was the time where technology was improving and aspect of our daily life was changing. The first powered gasoline car (Benz Patent-Motorwagen) was made in 1807 and made by Karl Benz. Gasoline is made from fossil fuels, which is released into the atmosphere. When gasoline is burnt it releases carbon dioxide (CO2). The burning of coal releases carbon dioxide into the air. Coal is used to produce electricity and heat. Joseph Fourier found that earth temperature approximately 15 Celsius, the incoming energy and out-coming energy keeps the temperature constant. As a result, greenhouse effect was based on Fourier findings. Greenhouse gases are gases (water vapors, carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide, fluorinated gases and methane) released into the atmosphere, absorbing the infrared radiation emitted, and trapping heat. The glass of the greenhouse is used to help absorbs the infrared radiation to keep the greenhouse warm and the plants absorb the infrared radiation (as heat energy). John Tyndall extents Fourier findings, he built a spectrophotometer which was designed to determine different types of gas absorption to heat. Longwave energy is transferred through Nitrogen, Oxygen and etc. He found that water vapors are transparent to solar radiation. He felt the climate would change over time. Svante Arrhenius is known for his hot box theory where he compares the earth as a greenhouse. He felt that doubling CO2 in the atmosphere can increase the temperature on earth [1]. During the 21 century, human activities are increasing CO2 levels and impacting the temperature. For example, the power plants generate electricity by fueling the furnace or boiler with coal. CO2 is one of the various gases that impact the atmosphere. Greenhouse gases cause the melting of glaciers, warmer temperature, increasing sea levels, and climate change. Climate change is a major issue scientifically causing extreme weather and warmer temperature due to global warming. For example, it costs the American economy about 65 billion for the extreme hurricane (Sandy). Carbon dioxide contributes 82% of the U.S pollution. The burning of fossil fuel is primarily from oil, coal, and solid waste. Fluorinated gases contribute 3% of pollution in the U.S, due to industrial processes. Nitrous oxide contributes 6% of pollution in the U.S, due to the agricultural and industrial processes. Methane contributes 9% of pollution in the U.S and it is used for transportation of coal, oil and landfills [2]. Global warming is affecting the whole world. For example, Fukushima, Japan was hit by an earthquake, tsunami and it broke down the nuclear plant. The full cleanup of the radioactive material will take about 40 years [3]. There is concerns about agricultural products being contaminated. As a solution, water is being pumped to cool down the reactors and radioactive water is stored in a tank around the site. There are concerns that the tank will leak radioactive water into the sea. In addition, ice wall was built to keep the ground water from flowing into the damaged reactors. The methane chemical formula is CH4. Methane is one of the most significant greenhouse gas. Methane is produce from the raising of livestock, breaking down trash in landfills, coal mining and transporting natural gases. Landfills are used to dispose waste by burying or covering it with the soil. On the other hand, landfill sites emits methane and the use of bi-cover technology is an effectively way to reduce methane. There have been comparison of the removal of CH4 by using various bio-cover materials [6]. For example, the use of cattle manure compost (CMC), sand, clay soil, and paddy soil are used to reduce CH4. Most effective way to remove CH4 abilities are cattle manure compost (CMC) and three compounds bio-cover material (CBM). The warmer temperature, which last for a short period time is from methane. For example, when individuals experience warmer temperature in the winter time. Methane affects the blossoming of plants. Even though, small amount of methane can seem harmless, large amount release can affect the climate
