However, because racism is not something I personally deal with in my everyday life it is hard for me to understand the extent of the problem. I feel that many others face this same dilemma. A solution can be found by better educating today’s people about the racism that still exists. Upon watching a Washington post video, I learned of many facts on racism that I found shocking. I imagine this would be really frustrating for the person driving. No one should be more likely to be pulled over because of the way they look. There should be a specific reason to pull someone over. The same drivers committing the same actions whether it be speeding or a different violation should be equally as likely to be pulled over. One of the previous articles we read talked about how blacks use to be severely taken advantage of in the housing market many years ago. It was frustrating that this is still true today in a different form of discrimination. Blacks are shown significantly less houses than qualified white buyers are. A person’s ability to buy a house should not be based on their appearance. People need to stop making assumptions about others based on their race.
