Eliza Revell Big Bang Theory Task-Science 2015 10CH

For a very long time the Big Bang theory has been one of the most talked about topics in science.
Most astronomers believe that the universe began with a ' Big Bang '
They believed that it happened about 14 billion years ago. At that point in time, astronomers think that the universe was inside a dense kind of 'bubble' that was thousands of times smaller than a pinhead. They think it was extremely hot and denser than anything we could possibly imagine.
Then all of a sudden it exploded.
At that point in time we believe that the universe was born.
Space, time and matter all began with a ' bang '. In less than a second, the universe grew from something smaller than an atom, and has increased to the size it is today. In fact it is still expanding today!
Over 3-4 minutes the temperature dropped below 1 billion degrees Celsius. This meant it was cool enough for the protons and neutrons to come together to form hydrogen and helium nucleus. Finally, after 3 hundred thousand years, the

This blue light is a sign that very young, massive stars are forming. Because we see these galaxies as they were between five and ten billion years ago, we appear to be witnessing events that occurred within a few billion years after these galaxies were formed. Astronomers have also noticed that by examining the images of these distant blue galaxies, the images are frequently distorted or contain what appear to be multiple nuclei. The Milky Way, which is seen at a similar great distance would look like a uniformed flattered disk, with a single bright nucleus. But in at least some instances, such as NGC1275, recently observed with the Hubble Space Telescope, galaxy collisions can actually start to trigger the formations of massive

In a day to day situation, if we want to find how much time does it take a person to go from Point A to Point B, we can use the equation T= D/V. In this equation, D represents the distances in meters between Point A and Point B, and V represents the speed (meter/ second) of how fast a person walks. In mathematical terms, it uses the total distance traveled to divided by the time to get an estimation of the average speed(second). But, if we want to find out the age of the universe ? Then, we need to take it into the universe’s perspective.…

The first day of school in 8th grade, I walked into my science class and Mr. Davis told everyone to get a sheet of paper to write on. The assignment was to write about the creation of the universe, Mr.Davis along with my Principal would be reading our papers to see our writing abilities at the beginning of the year, and then we would write the same paper at the end of the year to compare them. We had three options--the Big Bang Theory, The Oscillating Universe Theory, or The Accelerating Universe Theory... None of which, I believe in. I sat in my chair, staring at the blank sheet of paper, not knowing what to write.…

Originating from cosmic events such as supernovas, chemical elements are the foundation of all life. Billions of years ago, a violent explosion known as the Big Bang produced helium, hydrogen, and all of the matter and energy in the universe. Generated in the cores of stars, nuclei combined to form atoms which constitute the basic unit of all chemical elements. The extensive expansion of the universe induced the birth and demise of more stars and consequently the creation of more elements.…

The Big Bang is how humans nowadays believe the earth was created based on scientific experiments and theories. The theory states that a singularity was created, which is a zone that defies our understanding of physics (The Big Bang Theory - An Overview, 2015). Eventually this expanded creating a viable universe for life. The universe is constantly expanding creating new stars and other spatial objects that are needed in the universe. Tiny micro organisms formed on Earth that over millions of years started to evolve and became more complex.…

In the 19th century William Huggins, a British astronomer, observed that the Ring Nebula was not a group of dim stars, but created by luminous gas. The Ring Nebula was created by a star, several times larger than our own. After converting hydrogen to helium within its core for billions of years, it began to run out of fuel. When this happened it swelled…
