I think the tone of this article is questioning because this article includes both sides of the argument and there is still more data needs to be collected to make the final decision whether e-cigarettes help smokers kick their bad habits, or end up promoting tobacco use(Gebelhoff). In the article it said, “allow people to “smoke” nicotine-laced vapor instead of combustible, tobacco-based products” (Gelbelhoff). PubMed Health has stated that when you absorb nicotine it can help you quit smoking, therefore e-cigarettes have a positive side. On the other hand, national Institute on Drug Abuse has stated that e-cigarettes “can hurt arteries and increase the risk of heart disease” (Gelbelhoff).
