Beginning with the ethical responsibilities to clienteles, social workers are required to be committed and loyal in promoting clients’ well-being by prioritizing the latter’s interest. Secondly, it is the ethical responsibility of social workers to help clients in identifying and clarifying their goal. This is along with promoting and respecting clients’ right to self-determination, provided the actions or probable actions of clients do not pose serious, predictable, and impeding risk to social workers and other society entities. Social workers are also required to harness clients’ consent by using an understandable language, and demonstrate competency to clients within their certification, educational, licensure, and training boundaries.
