OVERVIEW
As EECS.Inc is growing fast and seeking new innovations in the fields of electrical engineering and computer science, we, a team of the engineering interns, were assigned to research an innovation which will not only be profitable for our company, but with improve the lives of our customers.
We have finished the research focusing on autonomous drones for business use. First, we found that producing autonomous drones for business purposes is achievable since there are companies that are also working on it and its technology is similar to other autonomous vehicles. Drones are capable of communicating with each other, but other obstacles would be commonplace at the relatively low altitudes that they would be flying at. It is critical that there be as little error as possible, not just for the safety of the drones and their cargo, but for any pedestrians that may be underneath them. In order to minimize the probability of any accidents, we recommend extensive testing of any sense and avoid software, even with the improvements we’ve …show more content…
The FAA as well as activists looking to pass anti drone legislation are concerned with the safety issues listed above as well as privacy that may be invaded by using this technology [3].
BENEFITS FOR PURSUING AUTONOMOUS DRONE TECHNOLOGY
This section will discuss the necessity of innovation in the area of autonomous flying vehicles. Our software provides increased safety in the use of autonomous drones through advanced machine learning algorithms which allow our drones to reach their destination safely and accurately every time. Past attempts in this field have failed because of navigation problems and issues with obstacles which our software solves.
Our software will achieve a high level autonomy system, being able to locate the vehicle on maps and recognize objects and make decisions based on information learned and observed. This is a higher level vision-based navigation system compared to the traditional (x,y,z) GPS system. It is supported by suitable hardware to estimate distance and altitude. The relative position obtained will help the drone to detect its speed. The work of this internal software will help the drones to stabilize itself in sky.
