Drill Team Research Paper

Decent Essays
Okay, So about the drill team. I feel the word "Team" is used to lightly. Sometimes it feels like its more like it is the Ross and everyone else or whoever and everyone else. There's only like 4 people who actually make sacrifices and I also feel like when you got on to me about me not being at a color guard practice was out of hand, because I've only including that one miss 2 practices. There a lot more people who missed more than me or just show up to practice and does nothing and no one said anything, but when I do something like that I get called out for it.

I said that to say this. We need to be more of a team. I should not have been getting chewed out for the simple things like getting my hair cut or miss a practice during my lunch

I was really worried that I would be put back in regular math, so I took responsibility for myself and got extra help from my teacher and managed to accomplish all A’s on the consecutive tests and end the trimester with almost an A in that class. I’m so thankful that I was taught to be responsible for myself in cheer or else I may not have gotten the same outcome. Out of everything I have been taught these years, the most important skill I picked up from being a Junior Trojan is to never give up. During this season our team did amazing, but there will sporadically be those off days when things don’t always go as intended. On those days, it’s imperative to not give up on yourself and remind everyone that even though it may not have been our best day, it’s important that we remember that we are all talented, and very fortunate to even be where we are.…
