The purpose of education from the days Martin Luther King Jr. was alive compared to 2016 is completely different. Before blacks and whites had to go to different schools. Also there was different water fountains of the separation of colors and the black students were looked down to always ended up humiliated. Education is still the biggest importance of life due to the fact that with an education doors open towards careers. Today people live paycheck to paycheck and the privileges of having an amazing education. Without an education the chances of maintaining a job would be harder infact another person applying for the job may have a better chances to get employed because of the higher amount of education speakers for that person. Yes minimum wage in 2016 is now $10.00 per hour. Still $10 per hour is not enough to support a family. This is a perfect example that without an education there will be obstacles you must jump over and prepare yourself for those if you are not going for an education. “The function of education, therefore, is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically.” (1947 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., The Purpose Of Education)
We need to keep in mind that not just because a person is educated means they are worth more than a person who has very little education. Yes having little or no education is bad but it does not mean that person is dumb. Maybe they did not want to be educated and they looked for a job. Most jobs are now asking for a high school diploma. At least with a high school diploma chances are better getting a job. That is a minimum of education.
We are all equal, having an education or not everybody is smart in their own way. One thing is to not humiliate anyone because the person who spits high it lands on their face. Education is a unique requirement to have if you do not want to break your back quick. But then again for those who did not have education other doors open to different opportunities. Having those open doors can be a successful
