Of course, the author does not diagnose him with the disorder but he does show many examples of where Trump’s actions fit into the category of having Narcissistic personality disorder. Some of these actions mentioned in the article include his conceitedness (Power), his ability to be loved (Exhibition), his success as a businessman (Achievement) and his need to show off his money and image (Affiliation). Although Donald Trump is the subject of the article, I think it can be related to all people who might have Narcissistic Personality Disorder. It showed his need to feel entitled due to his achievements in business and his need for others to know how successful he is. It also showed his need for power and exhibition quoting that he stated that he would be the greatest President that God ever created. These are all characteristics of a Narcissist. His self-enhancing motivation is proving to himself and everyone what he has done and what he is capable of doing in the future. When he says things like “I will be the greatest president God ever created” he wants people to vote for him and like him. Trump is running for President in order to fulfill his needs for power, affiliation, achievement, and exhibition.
