Dominant Learning Style

A. My dominant learning style base on the H-PILS is Accomodator. My secondary style is Assimilator. This quiz reveals the true about my learning styles in present and past. I enjoy meeting new people and forming study groups with my classmates whom I feel more effective to study than myself individually. I would love to try a new learning style more than a traditional one. I don't like to study one thing at a time but try to get as much as study materials as fast as I can. In a group, I usually a member involves a lot of work, pay attention, appreciate other's opinions, and help gather the group members together to finish the work on time.

For "strive for deeper learning", I need to actually adsorb the materials because I will apply my clinical knowledge when I become a pharmacist.
For example, I not only study to pass the exams in classes and future NAPLEX exam, but also need to memorize for long term list of vaccines to promote and contribute in preventing serious public health problem and my family members.
I usually write down what the professor said in lecture word to word but sometimes it's hard to keep it in long term memory. However, if I take note in my own words I can easily understand it later and memorize it faster.
I need to identify the subject and what I need to learn in class so it help me concentrate to learn important materials going to be on the exam.

C. After reading this article and getting some tips from it, I can see myself study more efficiently , teach myself to memorize, and understand it better. For chemistry and biochemistry classes, I need to memorize general compound functional groups, write it down, and read book in order to understand how and why the drugs interact and make it easier to understand materials in pharmacy school's second year. For med-vocab quizzes, not only I should study to pass the quiz, but I definitely apply it in understanding the medical terms based on suffix, prefix and word
