There are many different ways to test cosmetics without harming animals; however, we are only going to talk about two. Doing cosmetics on animals are cruel, expensive and inapplicable to humans it is heartbreaking seeing how people take advantage of defenseless creatures. Japanese cosmetics companies are increasingly using pieces of artificial skin and plates of cultured human cells to reduce animal testing, this is call Vitro method. The vitro method is an organs-on-chip that was created by Harvard’s Wyss Institute, this chip has human cells on it that copy’s the structure and function of human organs and organ system. This can be used instead of animals to test toxicity, drugs and research diseases and it is more reliable than animal testing.
