“Are fraternities acting in an ethical manner, requiring good behavior and punishing poor decisions? Or are they keeping a cool distance from the mayhem, knowing full well that it occurs with regularity?” (Flanagan). Many individuals have never taken out the time to research and study some of the hidden secrets about fraternities. When I was first introduced to Lambda Theta Phi Latino Fraternity Inc., certain aspects of the organization caught my attention. First and foremost, the organization promotes unity within the Latino community. Being united as Latinos is essential because together we acquire great accomplishments for the betterment of the community as well as ourselves. Moreover, being united provides the opportunity to demonstrate our capabilities as Latinos and break the barriers society has imposed upon us. For me, being able to interact with Latinos at UNCG, through this organization, and having the opportunity to meet individuals who demonstrate valuable character is of great importance.…

All sororities have different values that are addressed in their pledges, purposes, and chants that they do. The values that each sorority has can differ between them but some stay the same throughout. Amie Jackson and Susan Iverson found a comparison between the different Greek life students that they interviewed for their article. One of the students that they interviewed stated, “We have a strong sense of responsibility. If you do something wrong, we expect a knock on the door or a bunch of emails from the Director of Fraternity and Sorority Life” (Jackson and Iverson 8).…

or any sorority for that matter, except for what I hear on my college campus, which are basically stigmas (good and bad) that are tied to each sorority. After months and months of my ears being flooded with “Zeta this, Gamma Rho that, AKA this, and Delta that,” and my friends telling me that I should pledge Delta because I’m very blunt and have an attitude, I literally thought the whole sorority (sisterhood) and fraternity (brotherhood) thing was stupid and childish. I told myself that I would never be apart of any sisterhood and I would be my own support, and my own organization. However, after continued pestering from my friends about how I should become a Delta because of my fitted Delta personality, I decided to do some research. The one thing that sold me on wanting to become a…

The Christian doctrine of the holy trinity holds that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are the three forms of God, how God does not only exist as a personal Spirit beings, but in the Trinity. As Dr. Walter Martin states that no one can fully explains the Trinity even though there have been propounded theories and hypothesis over the years, the Trinity is still largely incomprehensible, defy human’s logic and reason. Some aspects of the Trinity can be made sense, the union of all three divine persons the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit in one divinity make all of them one as God substance, but three separate people as in individuality. We can be confused because how can God be three persons in one God. For the Father, we all know that the Father always exist, and he is the origin of all.…
