Many people have lost their lives, as others have lived to tells their experiences. This issue is not only in the United States but also around the world. Each day in the United States more than 16 Americans are killed and more than 1,300 are injured in car crashes that involve a distracted driver. Texting and driving is the most dangerous when it comes to distracted driving. “Those who drive and text are 23 times more likely to crash than nondistracted drivers” (Distracted Driving, 2014, para.6). Many organizations have been trying to get an answer to see which state in the United States has the worst drivers. “These are the top 10 worst drivers based on AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety: Louisiana, South Carolina, Mississippi, Texas, Alabama, Florida, Missouri, North Carolina, Montana, and North Dakota based on a survey” (Copeland, 2013, para.4).
