Distracted Driving In Today's Society

Distracted driving is a danger issue in today’s society. They are many accidents when it comes to this topic. This issue is dangerous because many people have died, as others have lived to tell their experience on this problem and the reasons are that many people think they can do two things at the same time, teenagers who think they know everything about driving, and people who drive with the influences of drugs or alcohol. The results of this issue can be fatal but many others get an experience from this issue and many people have accidents when it comes to distracted driving. However, many people get in accidents from other many reasons without the distraction while driving. Distracted driving shows that everything can happen in a second of a distraction.

Many people have lost their lives, as others have lived to tells their experiences. This issue is not only in the United States but also around the world. Each day in the United States more than 16 Americans are killed and more than 1,300 are injured in car crashes that involve a distracted driver. Texting and driving is the most dangerous when it comes to distracted driving. “Those who drive and text are 23 times more likely to crash than nondistracted drivers” (Distracted Driving, 2014, para.6). Many organizations have been trying to get an answer to see which state in the United States has the worst drivers. “These are the top 10 worst drivers based on AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety: Louisiana, South Carolina, Mississippi, Texas, Alabama, Florida, Missouri, North Carolina, Montana, and North Dakota based on a survey” (Copeland, 2013, para.4).
