Distracted Driving Among Teens

Distracted driving is a big issue while driving a motor vehicle especially for teens because a lot of teens think that they are invincible and nothing will happen to them and if an accident were to happen that they will be fine so while driving they tend to get distracted easier if not by texting by other things . There are a lot of things out there that can distract a teen while driving such as the radio, their phones, and other people in the car or even eating while driving because this causes an opportunity to not have both hands on the wheel so you are best prepared for a situation. In an article by the Los angles times the top distraction that was found in about 15% of crashes were caused by distractions of another person in the car and 12% was caused by using a cellphone some other distractions included 10% looking at something in the vehicle and singing or dancing to music was 8% . …show more content…
