Argumentation: The Feminist Movement has the goal of making sure that women’s rights are equal to men’s rights. This point is valid because women are no different from men besides some body parts and physical characteristics. There is not a real reason for men to be able to get higher paying jobs than women, men and women have plenty of careers that are the same but men get a higher percentage of money. For every 64 cents that an African American woman earns, a white man gets a dollar. That is 36 cents more than what some women are getting even though they Kalau 5 have the same job.…

When someone says they are a feminist, people often think they hate men when in reality they do not. Many people who identify as a feminist do have anger and some hate towards men, however, that is not what true feminism stands for. Feminism is not about empowering women and putting men down, or turning a patriarchal society into a matriarchal one; it is about advocating for women’s rights to be equal to men. Even though it seems that a woman’s role in society has changed, it has not. In the 1960s when the women’s liberation movement began, the expectation was that a woman was a mother and took care of the home.…

The feminist movement is a prevalent force across the nation and is fighting for equal rights for women. One of the main attributes to women not being treated the same as a man is the societal roles that are still in place for both. The only way to move away from gender inequality is to try and stop every instance of it from occurring and to not let it prevail in society. Donald Trump’s rhetoric used to objectify and defame women is the means for the perpetuation of gender inequality in the United States. It is understandable to assume that not every instance of gender discrimination or racial discrimination can be ceased in present society.…

In our society and other societies around the world, why is that women are always getting treated differently compared to men in the working environment? Men get paid a little more while having less hour whereas, women work more hours and get pay less. Many jobs in our community can be unfair when it comes to paying their workers. For example, even though women and men work at the same job and do exactly the same thing, most of the time, men would get pay a little more than women. According to Sarah Leonard she stated that, “Women still work a double-day—wage and kitchen—and they get paid less for the part of their work that is actually compensated” (55).…

Societal norms tell us that men and women are not equal, and many people use the Bible to justify this claim. Many people are unaware of the true meaning of feminism and exactly what it advocates for. According to Elisabeth Schüssler Fiorenza, “feminism is the radical notion that women are people, that is, full citizens. Feminism strives to expose veiled and open discrimination of women within the kyriarchal pyramid as well as in the intrinsic ideologies that sustain in, and fights for the recognition of the complete rights of half of humanity.” (Schroer, Silvia, and Sophia Bietenhard, pg. 2).…
