Marrying outside of one’s race allows him or her to learn so much about a different culture. One gets to learn about different foods his or her spouse may eat. One may even have the opportunity to learn how to cook what his or her spouse eats. Another advantage is that one can be exposed to a new religion. One can also be exposed to a new way of thinking (California State University, 2000). When marrying out of one’s race there is so much to learn. Marrying into another race can also be an eye opener to why certain races have such strong beliefs in certain things. The product of an interracial marriage results in beautiful biracial children, also an advantage. As many know, stereotypes follow different races.
