Management Analysis of a Business Dirt Bikes USA is a California based Production Company that specializes in the production of dirt bikes. The company was originally founded in 1994 by Carl Schmidt and Steve McFadden who had a background in the sport. Schmidt and McFadden had a background that was filled with experience in the dirt bike world. Their dreams became a reality when they began to design dirt bike frames for off the road purposes while utilizing engines from other manufacturing companies. The company also works closely with a network of 40 distributors as they do not sell directly to retail customers. These distributors are located within the Western and Midwestern United States. Dirt Bikes sell a small portion of their products in Europe using independent distributors that sell other brands of dirt bike and motor cycles as well as Dirt Bikes. Dealers have been authorized through Dirt Bikes USA to provide spare parts and service warranties however, with the exception that the consumer does not live more than 50 miles away from an authorized dealer. It is noted that Carl Schmidt is the presiding CEO and Steve McFadden is the presiding president and COO of Dirt Bikes USA. Within the company, the employees are involved in several aspects of production including the design, engineering, and production aspects. Dirt Bikes USA has 3 full-time designers, 3 full-time engineers as well as 4 full-time parts specialists, and 10 employees in the service department. The company also employees a marketing manager whose job focus is to oversee the 5 sales representatives of the company.
