The tank attempts recreate the conditions that are found in the deep areas of coral reefs in the Pacific and Australian areas. The tank contains three species of shark, the black-tip reef shark, the white-tip reef shark and the sand tiger shark. The black-tip reef shark can grow almost up to three meters and can weigh up to 130 kg. The black-tip reef shark is a social animal and are found in large groups with a strong hierarchy.(Rogers, n.d.) The white-tip shark has an irregular and waving swimming style. The body of this shark is very slim and it has pronounced gills. This makes the shark very easy to spot in the wild. The shark can grow up to two and a half meters and can weigh up to twenty kg. The shark is very sociable and can often be found lying on the ground in large groups. (Rogers, n.d.) The sand tiger shark has a dangerous appearance and this has given it a bad reputation although they are peaceful and are harmless unless provoked. The shark can grow to over three meters long and up to two hundred kg. Both the males and females live to around seven years old but have been known to live up to sixteen years in captivity. Because of their ability to live in captivity they have become the most kept sharks in aquariums around the world. Normally these sharks are solitary but can be sometimes found in groups of up to twenty.(Rogers, n.d.) There is also a loggerhead turtle in this tank. The loggerhead turtle is the largest of all hard shelled turtles. Loggerheads have massive heads, strong jaws, and a reddish-brown shell. They can reach up to one meter in shell length and weigh up to one hundred and fifteen kg.(National Geographic,
