The examples given are very similar to that of UCLA; both are public institutions that appeal to the student’s sense of logic. In the descriptions, the Universities tie in the students’ development at their institution to the professional world. They both share the classes necessary to prepare students for their intended major. Within their descriptions they share common subjects like Math, Science, and Writing. These institutes are called Trade Schools. Trade schools typically offer different programs of study that require the same exact general education requirements across the board. For example, ITT Technical Institute has different programs of study such as their Bachelors of Business and Bachelors of Information Systems and Technology both require the same general education requirements. The descriptions given by ITT Tech doesn’t seem to appeal to student’s emotions (pathos), but it does seem to touch on the student’s logic (logos). Williamson College is another trade school, but this school offers different general education courses that students can take depending on the trade. The difference between ITT Tech and Williamson College is that Williamson College allows students to choose from a list of classes. Williamson College’s description only seems to appeal to the students logos. In the description it talks along the lines of how the offered courses allow students to become better-rounded and prepared for their future career
